Destination Wedding Photography: MY GIRL IS GETTING MARRIED!!! Las Vegas, Red Rock Canyon, Engagement, Fremont Street}

 Have you ever met someone and knew instantly you'd be friends? Julie and I were just like that! We worked together and went through a lot of fun, crazy, and emotional times. She and I have a special bond that I am thankful had stayed strong over the last 7 years. I love her so much! I could write a huge long story about all the crazy fun times we have had over the years but I will save that for her wedding.

When Keith finally popped the question Julie asked me if she could fly me down to Las Vegas for engagement pictures! What an opportunity, I get to shoot my girly and since it was the same time as my conference it worked out PERFECT!!! The first shoot we did was at Red Rock Canyon on a windy day. We thankfully had sun which was supposed to turn to rain but didn't. Keith's daughter was able to come along with us along with their dog Bella so we turned it into a hike/photoshoot. She is adorable so I had to take pictures of her too!!

 The second set of photos were at Fremont Street Experience. They have a zip line down the middle of the street along with a dome-like ceiling that displays all different colors and shows. My goal was to get some jazzy kind of shots with the downtown lights and people in them. I loved the mood we were able to achieve in these shots, a bit grainy and dark but LOVE it!! Since my girlies Latasha Haynes and Tamara Kenyon were in town for the conference they came with us and got some great shots too! I am so thankful to have been able to spend time with Julie and Keith, and CANNOT wait for their wedding in August!

Blog? Where have you been?? oops, where have "i" been?

ALOT has happened since I last saw you. And by that I mean Everything has happened, it seems like.

I am planning my own wedding..... and failing miserably at it. I signed up on www.Oncewed.com or was it www.theknot.com and there is apparently a timeline to get some of these important tasks done and I am WAY behind. So far I have ordered the dress, the photography and the venue. I bought some save the dates from a company called www.weddingpaperdivas.com and I love them. But I am late getting those out too! wah wah... What good is having save the dates if people dont get them? sigh...I have been so blessed to have the best FIANCE,MOM, DAD, step mom, future mother in law and friends. They have literally been my lifeline, a shoulder to cry on and constant encouragement and support when i desperately needed it. I cannot wait for this day to get here. July 2nd.

Then I got to have "THE MOST AMAZING, WONDERFUL, JAWDROPPING, INFORMATIVE, CRAZY and EXPENSIVE" time at http://www.wppionline.com/storage/2011/home.html. I met the celebrities of photography! A literal dream come true. My "mentor/top 5 friend" and her husband were there and took me under their wing. Since she knew practically everyone I stood as the 3rd wheel and LOVED every second of it. Seriously. My girl Julie Jerome, Tasha, Isaiah and I hiked up Red Rock Canyon, and witnessed one of the most beautiful views Ive seen.

Being home is a relief and also the beginning point from which I will grow, expand, and reach new goals that I only dream of. God is good and is always good. No matter how hard things get I know He is in ultimate control and His timing is "razor sharp". I am so thankful to be here and to see the potential that everyone else sees in me. Talk to you again soon...
