My dearest friend Sonia had her sweet little girl yesterday and I wouldn't miss documenting this beautiful day for the whole world!
When I arrived Sonia's mom and her husband, father and sister were waiting in the waiting room. Her boys were busy playing video games while we watched the clock tick. A couple hours went by while a bit of worry crept in. She had a scheduled c-section and was typically a pretty easy procedure.
Finally, Miguel came through the doors and we all leaped up! He said everything was fine and that a few of us could go see the baby while the doctors worked on mommy. Oh what a moment that was! Her mom, sister, dad and I got to peer through the glass at the "minutes old" baby Lucia! We ooed and awhed a bunch, a few tears and hugs then we came back to the waiting room. They said it would be awhile before we could see Sonia so we all had a bite to eat and came back. They gave the word and we finally were able to go see mommy! The boys came in the room and the reaction was priceless! Welcome sweet Lucia!!!
